concert fistIf you've already got an expensive concert site set up for a two weekend indie rock fest and a multi-day country festival, you might as well use it for something. Right?  The answer is yes, and the creative programming choice is a 3 day festival of the same acts that have been filling arenas for decades.

It's to be called Desert Trip.

A three-day concert event will take place in Indio, California and it is not Coachella. October 7, 8 and 9 six of the world’s most iconic rock and roll artists come together for Desert Trip.

The three-night concert kicks off Friday night, October 7 with The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and His Band, followed on Saturday night, October 8 by Paul McCartney and Neil Young + Promise of the Real, with the weekend coming to a close on Sunday night, October 9 with Roger Waters and The Who.

Performances start after sunset, each artist will play a full set, serving up three nights of rock ‘n roll. Located at the home of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Ticket prices run from a general day pass at $199 to a three-day general admission pit passes for $1,599.
