Motivated by a post by Branch co-founder Josh Miller's on how his 15 year old sister uses the Internet, Y Combinator partner Garry Tan used YC startup Survata to survey 1,038 teens in two groups — those aged 13-18 (546 responses) and 19-25 (492 responses) to ask which services they used regularly. The results show surprising strength for Tumblr, even when compared to Facebook, along with the rapid rise of photo messaging app Snapchat. The chart:
