SoundCloud and Twitch have teamed up to launch SoundCloud Sessions, a new recurring livestream performance series designed to help emerging DJs and creators grow their audiences across both platforms.
The initiative combines Twitch's live streaming community with SoundCloud's music discovery ecosystem, giving DJs an opportunity to perform live while extending the reach of those performances long after the stream ends.
The series officially kicked off June 26 with performances from artists including Jessu, Conrad Taylor, DJ Ken Dollaz, and others. Participating DJs stream through Twitch's DJ Program, while SoundCloud provides additional exposure through editorial features, social promotion, and placement in newsletters such as Weekly Download and Dusk Till Dawn. Top-performing participants may also be considered for future promotional opportunities across both platforms.
Eliah Seton, CEO of SoundCloud, shared:
"We’re transforming raw, live moments into digital discovery, and building on the timeless foundation of DJ culture — which has always been about discovery, community, and what's next."
To participate: DJs must be enrolled in Twitch's DJ Program and link their SoundCloud profile in their Twitch bio.
The launch comes as electronic music continues to expand on SoundCloud. According to the company's 2026 Music Intelligence Report, electronic music is one of the platform's fastest-growing genres, while uploads tagged #DJset increased 39% year over year.
For independent DJs, the partnership reflects a growing shift toward treating livestreaming as more than a one-time event. By connecting live performances with ongoing editorial promotion and music discovery, SoundCloud and Twitch are creating another pathway for artists to turn real-time engagement into long-term audience growth.
