The digital performing rights organization just announced a record $953 million royalty distribution in 2018, and its entrance into the publishing space through the acquisition of the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA). Joining the SoundExchange board are Mitch Glazier, the Chairman and CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Alasdair McMullan, Senior Vice President for Business and Legal Affairs at Universal Music Group, Laurie Soriano, a leading entertainment attorney, and Jeff Walker, Executive Vice President and Head, Business and Legal Affairs, Global Digital Business at Sony Music. Laurie and Jeff were recently appointed to SoundExchange's Board of Directors, and Mitch and Alasdair were appointed at the beginning of the year. Jeff and Alasdair have previously served on SoundExchange's board."I am pleased to welcome Mitch, Alasdair, Laurie, and Jeff to the SoundExchange Board of Directors.
