Just in time for your holiday soiree, Spotify has launched Party, which as their slogan suggests is party music "mixed by us, tuned by you."

At its core, Spotify Party is about playlists and Diplo has even contributed an exclusive mix to get the Party started. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.) But then things get more interesting with beat matching added to the algorithm and a user controlled "mood tuner" that adjusts the song selection. They've also added crossfading to eliminate those buzz-killing awkward silences between tracks.

Starting today, Spotify Party is rolling out to Android and iOS users globally. Here's the intro video:
