[UPDATED] In a blog post we published earlier on Tuesday, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek revealed that the music streamer has surpassed 50 million users and 12.5 million paid premium subscribers. Just 6 months ago, the company said it had 10 million paying subscribers. The announcement came as part of a post in which Ek addressed the recent Taylor Swift controversy and three misconceptions that he felt the media and the public have of Spotify.
