Spotify newSpotify has confirmed that Doug Ford, a senior director and head of music culture & editorial, will be exiting the streamer. Ford, who joined Spotify in 2013 as part of its acquisition of music discovery app Tunigo, has been one of Spotify's top executives in charge of playlisting across genres.Most notably, Ford established “The Syndicate,” the strategy behind many of Spotify’s top playlists, including RapCaviar and New Music Friday.Ford’s departure from Spotify is not the first of 2018.
