Spotify is building out a player that could fully integrate video into the platform.
The new Video tab was discovered in Spotify’s Now Playing screen, alongside the Album Art and Canvas tabs. Album Art is a static image and Canvas is a looping gif-like animation that select artists can add to their tracks.
Spotify has toyed with video before, but this integration first discovered by code detective Jane Manchun Wong appears to be the most extensive yet.
