A rumored deal to acquire an existing Indian music service did not materialize, forcing Spotify to go it alone or be left out of a streaming market that analysts estimate already has 100 million active monthly users . Many believe that number could grow to 400 million users within 5 years. India was the 19th biggest music market in the world last year according to the IFPISpotify's decision to launch in India follows last week's debut in 13 new countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and underscores the streamer's push for growth by launching in as many countries as possible.As of last week, Spotify has launched in 78 territories worldwide.
