Spotify logoWhen Spotify sent out media invites for a press event this Wednesday May 2oth, multiple reports pointed toward the addition of a video service including content from top media companies. Now comes word of a new, likely related launch of "Spotify Now".

Spotify will launch an interactive service called "Spotify Now" thus Wednesday, according to CNBC. While the report was short on details, Spotify Now will be more interactive (think Songza?) than the current Spotify and suggested the likely inclusion of  a fitness element.

It is unclear if "Spotify Now" is the name of or even related to the likely new Spotify streaming video service or rather a separate feature.   We'll have full coverage of Wednesday's launch.
