Spotify will reportedly follow its major streaming music competitors and raise its U.S. premium subscription price from $9.99 to $10,99.
The U.S. price hike is expected to be announced next week, followed by increases in “dozens of markets globally in the coming months, sources tell the Wall Street Journal.
Exactly when it will take effect is unclear. How this increase fits with Spotify’s reported launch of a “Supremium” HiFi audio tier is also unclear.
