Music streaming in the US is growing at a phenomenal rate. American music fans logged 284.7 billion on-demand streams in the first six months of 2017, according to Nielsen. In fact, by that metric, streaming now makes up more than 60% of all music consumption, while last year, it accounted for 50%.
