The weekend's returns brings the movie's global total above $650 million, surpassing first entry in the Thor franchise and within arm's reach of passing the sequel. Also making a splash over the weekend was 20th Century Fox re-imagining of the classic Agatha Christie murder mystery "Murder On The Orient Express." Directed by Kenneth Branagh, and starring Branagh as Hercule Poirot, with support from Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, and Johnny Depp, the film cleared an estimated $28.2M domestically and $74.0M worldwide. Paramount's holiday-themed comedy "Daddy's Home 2" also fared well in its first week of general release.
