Tidal logoTidal experienced a strong bump following the release of Jay Z and Beyonce’s “Everything is Love” album on Saturday. A 36 hour Tidal album exclusive drove the streamer's app up 37 spots to #3 in the iTunes app store music category. As of Thursday, Tidal was #3 on the iTunes top grossing music apps chart, besting Spotify at #4. But it had fallen back to #14 in music app downloads.App Annie research found that:

  • Tidal climbed in the rankings for overall apps from outside the top 500 iPhone apps by downloads in the US on Friday to #35 by overall downloads on iPhone on Saturday, June 17, 2018.

  • On Sunday, Tidal reached #28 for overall iPhone downloads in the US.

  • For Music apps on iPhone in the US by Revenue, Tidal rose from #4 on Friday to #2 on Saturday and Sunday.

  • For Overall apps on iPhone in the US by Revenue, Tidal rose from #32 on Friday to #9 on Saturday and Sunday.
