UPDATED: It's been a rough few weeks for TIDAL, but lately Jay Z & Company have been doing a better job of messaging. Today they launched a new developing artist feature and got some good news that could help TIDAL continue to sing a more resonant tune.

TIDAL went live today with TIDAL Rising Artists which will highlight indie and unsigned artists. First to get the spotlight treatment is Lili K, an independent neo-soul & jazz vocalist and songwriter. A half-dozen other indie artists will also get additional exposure.And after falling off the app charts, TIDAL has returned to the Top Grossing iPhone app ranking at #4, after Pandora, Spotify and Beats in the music category; and is at #27 overall, according to App Annie.TIDAL has also added another company to its multi-player public relations and marketing team. MWW, whose clients include Netflix, Eventbrite and Jet Blue, is now on board.Related articles
