TikTok has requested a court injunction to stop the banning of its app in the United States.

TikTok is asking a District of Columbia judge to block the executive order that would require Apple and Google to remove the app from their stores on September 27th.

The US subsidiary of Chinese corporation ByteDance claims that a Trump administration executive order violates its right to due process and freedom of speech.

The move gives more time for ByteDance and potential partners Oracle and Walmart to cut a deal that would satisfy White House demands.
