TikTok Passes 1.5 Billion Downloads

TikTok has passed 1.5 billion downloads across all platforms, according to new stats from mobile intelligence provider Sensor Tower. The milestone comes as TikTok parent Bytedance is planning to launch a Spotify competitor including in the US.

TikTok has passed 1.5 billion downloads across all platforms, according to new stats from mobile intelligence provider Sensor Tower. The milestone comes as TikTok parent Bytedance is planning to launch a Spotify competitor including in the US.

TikTok is now the third most downloaded non-gaming app in 2019 after WhatsApp (707.4M) and Messenger (636.2M).

Facebook and Instagram are #4 and #5 with 587 million and 376.2 million downloads respectively.
