Today is international Blog Action Day. Thousands of bloggers around the world are writing to raise awareness about a single subject; poverty. Many, including Hypebot, will be donating 100% of today’s ad revenue to non-profits working to fight poverty. (So please do a little bit of extra clicking around and exploring our advertisers. It helps.)
I don’t have anything new or eloquent to write about poverty. I do believe that it is shameful that in a world where many of us have so much; so many still have so very little. It does not speak well of us.
But giving even a little can help a lot. Hypebot’s parent Skyline Music is jump starting our effort with a $100 donation to Kiva a micro-lending lending organization aimed at small entrepeneurs in third world countries.
