The British (Labels) Are Coming! The British (Labels) Are Coming! UK indie label Cooking Vinyl is opening up shop in the States, and they've hired an experienced U.S. executive to lead the charge.

The UK based indie label group Cooking Vinyl, has announced they are expanding its operations in the U.S. with the launch of a full service label division.

Based out of New York Citu, Cooking Vinyl America will be overseen by Howie Gabriel, the former Sony RED executive, who most recently served as executive vice president of marketing at Warner Bros, according to Billboard.

Cooking Vinyl America has partnered with RED for domestic sales and distribution. Billboard reported that Cooking Vinyl America will supersede the company's previous US global marketing and distribution services operation CV America.

Cooking Vinyl's catalog and roster includes Billy Bragg, Amanda Palmer, Counting Crows, Frank Black and the Catholics, Marilyn Manson and The Prodigy among others.
