MTV and Topspin Media are expanding their partnership formed last year to give artists more control over their presence on MTV, CMT and VH1's many high traffic sites. Using the free Topspin GoDirect dashboard (now renamed ArtistLink), artists and labels can sell music and offer free downloads direct from their Artists.MTV pages.

Artists.MTV pages already feature streaming music, video and news, along with an artist Tip Jar. Tracks can now be sold for any price (including pay-what-you-want), and free downloads are available to fans in return for mailing list signups, Facebook Likes, and Twitter follows. All sales data and fan info is tracked and downloadable within the Analytics tab of a user’s ArtistLink free account.

The expanded partnership come just weeks before MTV, VH1 and CMT feature emerging artists on their broadcast outlets, as well as, online as part of a special July 4th Music Independence Day promotion.
