Vance Joy Wins Grand Prize For 2014 International Songwriting Competition

The International Songwriting Competition has announced the winners for the 2014 edition of the contest, with the grand prize going to Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy for his song "Riptide." Vance was the first contestant to win perfect scores from the judges.

The International Songwriting Competition competition received over 18,000 entries from 118 countries this year. Winners were chosen by a panel of celebrity and industry judges including Bastille, Sarah McLachlan, Avicii, Sara Evans, Wayne Shorter, Jason Isbell, Craig Kallman (Chairman and CEO, Atlantic Records); Dan McCarroll (President, Warner Bros.
