Why Are Taylor Swift’s Web Site, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr All Blank? [UPDATED]

[UPDATE 2] Taylor Swift's official web site, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts and Tumblr have all been wiped clean. Some fans have speculated that she was the victim of a massive hack, but more likely the media savvy star is drawing attention in anticipation of a major announcement.

Taylor Swift has reliably released a new album every two years, until now. Fans of the superstar have now waited almost 2 years and 10 months, since the October 2014 release of "1989", for a new album; and now that she is on the winning side of her radio DJ groping trial, she seems primed to release it.

UPDATE: All of Swift's sites and social media feeds remain down as of early Monday morning.

"When you're the biggest star on the planet, you don't have to say a word to get millions of fans talking," wrote Forbes of the blackout which is entering its fourth day.Swift is rumored to be in New York City and may be making the rounds of the morning TV shows on Monday.
