Within one month after Spotify’s shares first traded publically in the United States (April 3, 2018), the labels immediately started dumping their shares.- Sony Music sold 50% of its shares. 2
- Warner Music Group sold 75% of its shares. 3
- Independent Record Label Global Digital Rights Agency sold 100% of its shares. 4
- $2.77 million a month, or $33.29 million a year
- Over the 17 years lease, more than $566 million in rent
- $31 million in upfront payments
