TuneCore has another competitor. XO Digital has launched a low cost flat fee digital music distribution service, charging a one time fee of $2 per track or ringtone. Tunecore charges $9.99 per track, $19.99 per ringtone and $29.99 for a full album. Another low cost alternative, DistroKid, offers a flat of $19.99 to upload unlimited albums and songs for a year.

XO distribution partners include iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody, eMusic, GooglePlay, Spotify, Rdio, Deezer, Napster and xBox Live.

"XO Digital is redefining the way musicians sell their music by offering the lowest rates in the industry while avoiding yearly subscriptions," explains Dale Hoggart, Vice President, US Sales.
