The long rumored YouTube music subscription service will launch this summer, according to a new report. It will launch trhough Google's Music Pass on Android, according to the NY Post, and with YouTube's massive 1 billion user base will instantly become a formidable competitor.
YouTube's Music Pass is expected to charge $5 for an ad supported service and $10 for ad free.
iTunes is also planning a similar offering. “Apple is further along than people are thinking,” said The Post's industry source. “They have technology in place and can flip the switch at any time.”
