YouTube Opens Channels To More Creators, Cuts Subscriber Requirement 50%

yOUtUBE CHANNELSAlongside a strongly worded condemnation of EU Article 13 copyright legislation, YouTube’s CEO Susan Wojcicki revealed that the number of YouTube channels with more than 1 million subscribers has increased 75%.More musicians and other creators will also be getting channel status, as Wojcicki announced that YouTube is lowering the channel subscriber requirement from 100,000 to 50,000, with plans to expand membership more in the coming months.
