Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK. Steve Chen, YouTube’s co-founder, commented, "We want to create a YouTube experience that is a local experience. It’s not just about translating, it’s also about creating content unique to certain countries."

YouTube is creating country-specific versions of the site and adding a new option on the top right of the homepage. This "country" option allows the user to switch between the new country sites and the original US site.
