Apple Music’s Connect social media-like section will reportedly be de-emphasized in the new design. Artists have not been pushing content to Connect and the hope is that by removing the section and pushing artist updates onto their individual pages, Apple can spark more interest, In theory, its a move that could be good for artists who would now have a chance to connect with fans as they are searching for their music.

Even before they get a look at the new Apple Music, pundits are doubting that the changes will be enough to cause a major uptick in subscriptions that are estimated to hover around 13 million.

And no, Apple will not be shutting down its music download store.
