Ariana Grande’s newly launched Brighter Days Ahead Foundation is supporting Backline’s efforts to expand mental health care for music industry professionals and their families.
Backline has been named a grantee of the foundation’s Heal & Dream Fund, which focuses on improving access to mental health services and community support. The grant builds on several collaborations between the two organizations, including tour support for the band and crew working on Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour.

Grande officially launched the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation on June 12 to fund organizations serving vulnerable communities. Its initial priorities include protecting trans and LGBTQ+ rights, expanding mental health care access, and responding to communities experiencing crises.
Its four funds will support organizations providing safety, care, and other essential services. Grande said while announcing the foundation:
"Our mission is to support, protect, and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need."
Backline connects music professionals and their families with therapists, financial assistance, case management, wellness programs, and providers who understand the particular pressures of working in music. Support from the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation will help the nonprofit sustain programs including direct tour services and B-LINE, its free, confidential mental health and crisis support line created specifically for the music industry.
Backline Executive Director Hilary Gleason sums it up:
"Backline delivers essential mental health and wellness resources to music industry professionals, ensuring the people behind the music receive the compassionate, affordable care they deserve."
The partnership has already reached workers behind Grande’s tour. During a run of sold-out performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Backline delivered 200 wellness bags to crew members. The packages included products intended to reduce stress and encourage self-care during extended periods on the road.
Crew members will also be eligible to receive therapy grants through Music’s Mental Health Fund, supported by the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation. The assistance is designed to ensure that the people responsible for producing the shows can continue accessing care after the tour moves on.

The foundation had begun supporting Backline even before its public launch. As an early financial contributor to B-LINE, it helped establish a round-the-clock resource available to artists, crew members, industry workers, and their families. More than 400 people have contacted the service since its introduction, according to Backline.
The grant arrives as the music industry continues confronting the mental and physical strain associated with touring, irregular employment, financial insecurity, and long periods away from home.
By directing resources toward both immediate tour support and longer-term care, the partnership recognizes that healthier live music requires supporting everyone working behind the curtain — not only the artists standing onstage.
