Not surprisingly new EMI owners Terra Firma are looking for more ways to cut at the label. "The assumption is that business discipline has been lacking in this industry. Yes, you need people who know Pete Doherty, but you also need discipline," an insider told the UK’s Telegraph.

We’ve heard this song before. Didn’t Nicoli already make deep
cuts?  In end, isn’t the real problem that EMI failed to release enough great music? And the first time a hit maker demands
a private jet, if Terra
Firma won’t scramble to reserve it sadly someone else will.

The Observer may be more right with speculation that Terra Firma’s move will be to concentrate on the profitable publishing division and to sell the record company off ASAP.

Edgar…did you here that?  Will your partner’s still let you play in this sandbox?  Oh Jim…Jim Fifield…can you find any cash to make your dream come true? David Geffen, is it time for a comeback? You’ve been giving a lot of interviews  lately and we know you have the cash…
