Our Next President’s Husband Could Be An Entertainment Attorney
DLA Piper has appointed entertainment and media attorney Douglas Emhoff as a partner, based in the firm’s Los Angeles and Washington DC offices. In addition to being a respected lawyer, Emhoff is also the husband of a top contender for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
Entertainment attorney Douglas Emhoff is married to California’s junior Senator Kamala Harris. A frequent Trump critic and rising star in the Democratic party, Harris is already working to position herself as a top contender for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination.
As for her husband, “Doug has served as litigation counsel and trusted advisor for some of the biggest names in Hollywood and across the entertainment, media and sports spectrum,” Roger Meltzer, DLA Piper’s global co-chairman and co-chairman for the Americas said in statement. “His arrival is an important strategic move for us not just in Southern California, but for our wider global sector capabilities.”
