Artlist Raises $48M Led By KKR

Artlist, a royalty-free library of music, sound effects and video for video content, has raised $48 million.

KKR led the round.

“KKR’s tech and media expertise, networks, and relevant prior investments such as Fotolia and BMG Rights Management provide added value,” said co-CEO Itzik Elbaz.

The company launched in 2016 claims 1 million users and a catalog of 20 million assets. Artlist says that its top contributors are earning “hundreds of thousands of dollars” on the platform.
