Music Tectonics returns this week with a hybrid conference

Music Tectonics begins its 2021 edition Monday as a hybrid in-person and online conference.

By David De Cristofaro

In its first edition in 2019, Music Tectonics began bringing together a ‘who’s-who” of executives, experts, exhibitors, and attendees from the intersection of technology and experience to form what has become a community rich with innovators and experts from a number of corners of the tech and music business spheres.

The annual gathering of creative minds has developed through various programming, meetups, content, and platforms, to become a forum for moving conversations forward in the direction of music’s future. This while identifying and defining the “tectonic shifts” that have had the ripple effects in the industry visible today.

The Music Tectonics conference makes its return this year, following the pandemic shutdown that saw the event brand thrive in online virtual meetups and a fully remote digital conference in 2020.

“a good conference needs more than respected and great speakers. It needs a way for people to meet and interact”

“During the pandemic, music innovators were desperate to connect and get business done,” says Dmitri Vietze, CEO of PR Firm Rock Paper Scissors. “While we saw other industry events leaning into the stale one-to-many approach of traditional webinars, my experience of two decades of going to industry events told me that a good conference needs more than respected and great speakers. It needs a way for people to meet and interact.”

The hybrid event will kick off with several days of online programming that includes keynotes, interactive panels, and speed networking beginning Monday, October 25th and continuing through Wednesday, October 27th

Virtual Meeting Space

The second half of each day of the online conference will also be held in a metaverse type virtual meeting space. Then on Tuesday, November 2nd, the Music Tectonics community will gather in person for networking events in Santa Monica, CA.

Offering a gold mine of valuable insights, the conference is not one you’ll want to miss. The networking opportunities alone are worth the price of admission.
