CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference returns with a stellar lineup

The premier annual gathering of the D.I.Y. music tribe, CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference, returns to Austin on August 26-28. Virtual tickets are also available.

The three-day conference offers keynotes, songwriting and marketing workshops, and one-on-one mentorships with music business professionals alongside showcases, jam sessions, and constant networking opportunities.

Keynotes & Live Sessions

Leading a strong lineup of speakers Kara DioGuardi and Ross Goland, songwriters for Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and others, will host a “Shark Tank” inspired critique session of songs by artists in the audience.

Live music producers Tom Jackson and Amy Wolter return to transform a band’s performance with a live makeover. NY Times bestselling author Austin Kelon will help artists find their authentic voices, and songwriter Enrique Chi will explore creating transformative and meaningful music.

Other speakers include returning freestyle master SaulPaul, GRAMMY-nominated music producer Henry Roland; songwriter Matt Ramsey; and Ableton trainer and producer Alberto Chapa. Other Texas speakers include award-winning music producer Justin J. Rhodes and strategist & reality TV music coach Brianna Ruelas.

Educational Sessions

Artists can also learn from marketers, playlist specialists, and public relations experts who will explore trends and tools to simplify content creation and promotion, including Diarmuid Moloney from Rotor; Kaytee Long Becker from DIY Public Relations, Inc; author of Work Hard Playlist Hard Mike Warner; Rick Barker of Music Industry Blueprint; and Hisham Dahud from ArtistPro. 

Ari Herstand and Chris Carr are among those rounding out an all-star presenter lineup are artists and educators.
