What are the most popular Social Media apps in 2023?

Meta’s Threads signed up 100 million users in days, then struggled to keep them, and X, the app formerly known as Twitter, is a mess. These are just the latest examples of how social media is an ever-shifting landscape.

Where should you put your efforts now?

The answer begins with where the musician or creator feels comfortable and where their fans and potential fans spend time. But a platform’s popularity is also an extremely important factor.

A new analysis by SocialMediaToday looks at current popularity based on available data for Monthly Active Users (MAUs) and Daily Active Users (DAUs) of each platform

Facebook is still on top with 3.03b users, followed by YouTube (2.5b), Instagram (2b), and WhatsApp (2b). TikTok (1.5b) has half as many monthly users but is growing fast. Messenger has (1.3b), Snapchat (750m), X, formerly Twitter (550m), Pinterest (465m), and Reddit (83.8m est.).

Here are the charts for MAUs vs. DAUs, with a few interesting differences.

  1. Earn money simply by working online. You are free to work from home whenever you choose. You may earn more than $600 per day working only 5 hours per day online. I made $23,100 with this in my spare time.
