“Awesome, another DM platform for us to get spammed.” That was the reaction of Michael Brandvold and Jay Gilbert on the news Spotify has launched DMS for all users.

DMN called out Spotify DMs’ “Major Doxxing Vulnerability.” “If You’ve Ever Shared a Spotify Link Publicly, You Need to Disable Spotify DMs,” reads the Lifehacker headline. They also shared that “Spotify DMs might be unintentionally sharing your account with strangers.”
