Live Nation reacts to Blue Dot Fever

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino and President Joe Berchtold took to social media to refute reporting by Hypebot and other outlets on a wave concert cancellations fans are calling Blue Dot Fever.

Rapino reposted a LinkedIn story with the caption, Blue Dot Fever is a scalper narrative” as well as a piece by Dave Brooks, “Shut up about Blue Dot Fever already.” More than one fan responded with: “If it’s a ‘scalper narrative’ why are tours canceling?”

Berchtold repeated the argument: “I think [Blue Dot Fever coverage] is heavily driven by scalpers who are frustrated by the fact that artists are much more effectively pricing tours. They want to try to scare them that if they continue to price their tours efficiently, ‘Oh, you’re not going to sell tickets, it’s going to be embarrassing.'”

30 Seconds To Mars & Humans Only Tickets

30 Seconds to Mars is partnering with World to protect the live concert experience by battling bots and "putting humans first." Fans with a verified World ID can access dedicated ticket inventory through Concert Kit, a tool designed to help artists ensure tickets go to real fans instead of bots and resale networks. Participating “Humans Only Tickets” dates include:
