Pitbull is gearing up for the June 21 release of Planet Pit with a wide variety of media appearances and some innovative marketing efforts including the use of Zumba Fitness as a marketing platform and the premiere of his new single "Rain Over Me" via SoundHound. In early May a game app for Facebook was released featuring the single "Give Me Everything".

  • Lands' End Canvas and Live Nation are partnering on a year-long concert series, "Backstage with Lands' End Canvas", with concerts at multiple House of Blues, Facebook opps to win Live Nation Concert Cash and special VIP events.
  • Gloria Gaynor recently helped launch the Pink Well Challenge, designed to raise money for breast cancer organizations, and celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day.
  • On Monday, Simon Fuller and Chris Blackwell announced the creation of Blackwell Fuller, Inc., a company that will work with artists and content creators to do something involving "connection points" with their audiences, "new paths to market" and "iconic brands".
  • Last week Perrier launched "Le Club Perrier" an "interactive" YouTube experience featuring video by Nez Khammal with a soundtrack "developed" by Babe Youth as a way to bring their television campaign online.
  • Quaker Chewey and Nick Jonas, with some help from Little Kids Rock, are teaming up for the Quaker Chewy Superstar Search featuring the Quaker Chewy Mobile Recording Studio in a summer-long contest for young artists age 8 to 14.  The Grand Prize winner will get to "record a song produced by Nick Jonas, an online music video, a contract with Jonas Group Management and $5,000 in cash."
  • Interactive One celebrates Black Music Month all June on TheUrbanDaily.com with "It's All Black Music!", a content series supported by Southwestern Airlines and T.G.I. Friday's with a foursquare Black music history geolocation tie-in.
  • Kaiser Chiefs kicked off their campaign for "The Future is Medieval", due June 27, with a create your own digital album offering.
