Live Music Industry News: Live Nation, Dynamic, VOLTA & More

In the latest live music industry news, Live Nation (NYSE: LYV) announced it will release its second quarter 2025 financial results after market hours on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Live Nation recently increased its stake in Ocesa with an additional 24% of the Mexico City based promoter, bringing its overall share to 75%. The concert giant also continued its expansion in the Pacific Rim with the acquisition of New Zealand-based festival producer Team Event, creators of the Electric Avenue festival.

• Booking agency Dynamic Talent has added three experienced agents to its growing team:

  • Chris Swartz joins from FATA booking as a Senior Agent. He brings a diverse roster including Mystery Skulls, Bit Brigade, and Charles Esten, and a background in DIY talent development and top-tier festival bookings including Bonnaroo and Electric Forest.

VOLTA broadcast a multiview livestream of the Dave Matthews Band on July 26, live from Camden, NJ.

VOLTA is an immersive, customizable platform allowing viewers to toggle between multiple camera angles in real time. Think front row, wide arena shot, side stage, drum cam, etc.. The July performance was the first in a series of exclusive multiview events presented by VOLTA’s music vertical, with additional festival and artist partnerships to be announced soon.
